In my experience, two biggest search engines - Skyscanner and Booking are the best when it comes to looking for flights and hotels almost anywhere in the world, but after I came to China I realized there are lots of local hotels that are not listed on Booking and the ones that are listed are twice as expensive. That's why in China I use Ctrip search engine and it gives me so many awesome deals around China. Skyscanner most often gave me the most reliable and cheapest prices almost all the time.
