It's a pleasure for me to introduce myself in this community. Although the people that I see in these posts are the same that I know from the Steem house, I never did the introduction to my life like now.

I am @gertu. Originally from Venezuela, raised in the eastern region, in the state of Anzoátegui to be more exact. With the Caribbean coast as a gateway. The great Caribbean sea, the protagonist of the great stories of the colonizers and pirates who sailed our seas.

But I was born in the capital of Venezuela, Caracas. There my parents arrived for the first time, coming from the island of Madéira in Portugal. There, in the city of Caracas, I stayed for 5 years, until my father decided to change course and come to the northeast land, one of the three states that make it up.

Es un placer para mi presentarme en esta comunidad. Aunque las personas que veo en las publicaciones son las mismas que conozco de la casa Steem, nunca hice la introducción a mi vida como ahora.

Soy @gertu. Oriunda de Venezuela, criada en la región oriental, en el estado Anzoátegui para ser más exacta. Con la costa caribeña como puerta de entrada. El grandioso mar Caribe, el protagonista de las grandes historias de los colonizadores y piratas que surcaron nuestros mares.

Pero nací en la capital de Venezuela, Caracas. Allí llegaron mis padres por primera vez, provenientes de la isla de Madéira en Portugal. Allí, en La ciudad de Caracas permanecí por 5 años, hasta que mi padre decidió cambiar de rumbo y venirse a la tierra nororiental, uno de los tres estados que la conforman.

We always live near the sea, in Puerto La Cruz and then after being a teenager, we moved to Barcelona, very close to Lechería, the Caribbean coast as well.

Siempre vivimos cerca del mar, en Puerto La Cruz y luego después de ser yo una adolescente, nos mudamos para Barcelona, muy cerca de Lechería, costa caribeña también.

And since then I am here, always occupying the same maternal home, even though I was traveling around the country. My first studies as a teenager until adulthood, I did as a nurse, in Barcelona. I studied at the University Hospital Dr: Luis Razetti. I worked for 6 years as a nurse, until I decided to go to study medicine at the University of the Andes at ULA. in the state of Merida. There I graduated as a surgeon and returned to my land to practice as a rural doctor in the town of Pariaguan for almost 2 years. Then I returned to Barcelona to do an internship and residency as a doctor, in Puerto La Cruz. I ended up there, in Puerto La Cruz and went to the state of Sucre for almost 2 years, to work out of need of doctors, in a town called Casanay.

Y desde entonces aquí estoy, siempre ocupando la misma casa materna, aunque estuve viajando por el país. Mis primeros estudios de adolescente hasta la edad adulta, los realicé como enfermera, en Barcelona. Estudié en el Hospital Universitario Dr: Luis Razetti. Trabajé por 6 años como enfermera, hasta que decidí irme a estudiar medicina, a la universidad de los andes, en la ULA. Estado Mérida. Allí me gradué como médico cirujano y regresé a mi tierra, para ejercer como médico rural en la población de Pariaguan, por casi 2 años. Luego regresé a Barcelona para hacer el internado y la residencia como médico, en Puerto La Cruz. Terminé allí, en Puerto La Cruz y me fuí al estado Sucre por casi 2 años, a trabajar por necesidad de médicos, en una población de nombre Casanay.

Before ending up in Casanay and during my work there, I did my subspecialty studies as a sonographer. A part of the medicine of Imaging. At the end of which, I return to Barcelona to work with this title. In a private medical office, practicing as a private medicine doctor.

Antes de terminar en Casanay y durante mi trabajo allí, hice mis estudios de subespecialización como médico ecografísta. Una parte la medicina de imagenología. Al termino del cual, me regreso a Barcelona para trabajar con este título. En un consultorio médico del área privada, ejerciendo como médico de medicina privada.

And here I was working for long years, until my ultrasound equipment began to be damaged. for the repeated blackouts to which Venezuelans became accustomed. They happened daily, many times, for long hours, across the country.

My equipment was fixed several times, until it was no longer possible. Two technicians reviewed it, the money ran out. And the equipment was put away, useless. I turned in my office and came home. Here at home, I had a hobby with my plants, but I had already been working on them. In the garage of my house, I sold plants, cacti, aromatic, ornamental, fruit trees. I prepared my own fertilizer. I bought soil of different characteristics and mixed them for my use and sale.

Y aquí estuve trabajando por largos años, hasta que mi equipo de ecografía se comenzó a dañar. por los repetidos apagones en los que se vino acostumbrando a los venezolanos. Sucedieron diariamente, muchas veces, por largas horas, en todo el país.

A mi equipo lo arreglaron en varias oportunidades, hasta que ya no se pudo más. Lo revisaron dos técnicos, se agoto el dinero. Y el equipo quedó guardado, inservible. Yo entregué mi consultorio y me vine a casa. Aquí en casa, tenía un hobby que son mis plantas, pero ya venía trabajando en ellas. En el garaje de mi casa, vendí plantas, cactus, aromáticas, ornamentales, frutales. Preparé mis propias tierras abonadas. Compré tierras de distintas características y las mezclé para mi uso y venta.

I also dedicated myself to baking. I did my "training" online, I learned many recipes and personalized them with my own improvements. And so I started making cakes, muffins, cookies, jams and other sweets.

También me dediqué a la repostería. Hice mis entrenamientos por internet, Conocí muchas recetas y las personalicé con mis propias mejoras. Y así comencé a hacer pasteles, magdalenas, galletas, mermeladas y otros dulces.

Now in view of the social quarantine, I decided not to have any more contact with the public until this is all over. I no longer make sales to the public of any kind.

Going back a bit, before the economic situation in my life worsened. Together with my son, I did internet jobs that made money. With this type of work I complemented my economic income for some years. Then I kept searching the internet for ways to get money. It was when I found some videos on youtube, inviting me to enter steemit.

I did it, I read how to enter, I did everything they asked me to do, and they accepted me. When I entered the platform, I didn't quite know what to do. It is the first time that I have a blog. I like the idea, because I could show my plants and what little I knew about them, I could communicate through this blog.

I started well. I showed my qualities in the garden. But I was always lost. There is no information on how to proceed on this platform. But still I kept on steemit. I realize that I couldn't support myself financially with what I was getting, but I met many people, very kind, who inspired me. They gave me some advice and I could never leave.

Ahora en vista de la cuarentena social, decidí no tener más contacto con el público hasta que todo esto termine. Ya no tengo ventas al público de ningún tipo.

Retrocediendo un poco, antes que se agudizara la situación económica en mi vida. Hacía junto con mi hijo trabajos en internet que producian dinero. Con este tipo de trabajo complementé mis entradas económicas por algunos años. Luego seguí buscando en internet, formas de conseguir dinero. Fué cuando encontré algunos videos en youtube, invitando a entrar en steemit.

Lo hice, leí como entrar, hice todo lo que me pidieron, y me aceptaron. Cuando entré en la plataforma, no sabía muy bien que hacer. Es primera vez que tengo un blog. Me gusta la idea, por que podía mostrar mis plantas y lo poco que sabía de ellas, lo podía comunicar por este blog.

Comencé bien. Mostré mis cualidades en el jardín. Pero siempre estuve perdida. No se consigue información de como proceder en esta plataforma. Pero aun así seguí en steemit. Me doy cuenta que no me podía mantener económicamente con lo que conseguía, pero conocí muchas personas, muy amables, que me inspiraron. Me dieron algunos concejos y ya nunca pude salir.

Then the changes we all go through happen in the steem community and the invitation came to move to another place. Where the promise of living in a decentralized way, with the same people I know, with ideals of freedom and growth that we had in the other chain, but that we did not conclude. For personal and individual interests.

Here I am at Hive. I hope that we continue with our evolution. Helping each other. In a free and organized community. Aiming to perfect and enrich the cryptocurrency in hive and make it more and more consistent.

Después suceden los cambios que todos vivimos, en la comunidad de steem y llegó la invitación a mudarse a otro lugar. Donde la promesa de vivir en forma descentralizada, con las mismas personas que conozco, con ideales de libertad y de crecimiento que teníamos en la otra cadena, pero que no llegamos a concluir. Por intereses personales e individuales.

Aquí estoy en Hive. Espero que continuemos con nuestra evolución. Ayudándonos unos a otros. En una comunidad libre y organizada. En miras a perfeccionar y enriquecer la criptomoneda. En hive y hacerla cada vez más consistente.
