I didn't even asked my mom for this set. I thought about this design at 02:00 am, right before i go to sleep.
Usually i get inspired too late 😛.
The only thing that i actually asked her was if she would like to combine blue with purple or blue with white and she chose white, without telling though what i was gonna do to her as design.
I showed her my water tattoos and we decided that those flowers would fit better on her nails.
I can say that it took me more than two hours to finish them but it was totally worth it.
Products that i used:
I removed the previous set with acetone as always i do. Then i removed the shinning surface of the nails and i wiped off the dust with my brush.
Then i applied the primer at one nail at the time. When it was completely dry i applied the base coat.
Then i continued with the blue pastel gel polish. This colour is harder than the purple pastel gel polish and i had to apply three coats for a better result.
I left the four nails with the design for the end, because i had more details to do on them.
The trickiest part was the ombre design, because i had to be careful and quick at the same time. Usually gel polishes are difficult to work with them because they aren't stable, and they don't have much pigment in them.
And then i put the leaves on top. I had to be careful with them because first i had to put them in water and then i put it on the nail. If the water hasn't dry, the best case is the top coat won't stay for more than one day, the baddest case is of getting mold 'cause of the moisture and we don't want that.
For the other designs i used silver holo mirror powder. At this point my mom had the chance of stopping me there, but i told her the rest of my plan and she was like "oh, ok continue with your plan", and that's what i did.
I used the matte top coat to draw two lines in each nail and then i was done.
This is the final product, i hope you like them!!!
I hope to see better the holo mirror powder how it is with light.
As for the "step by step edition", i'll have to find a way of showing you the ombre design because it has to be a video and not photos, but i don't have a stand for my camera (smartphone).
