Hey fellow travel people! Today I'll continue our one day trip story from our Koh Samui Trip. Last post I shared with you our trip to the amazing Koh Nang Yuan and snorkelling at Koh Tao. Today I'll show you Koh Raham - which is technically a part of Koh Pha Ngan but this area we went to was just this one resort with an amazing atmosphere and a very interesting beach restaurant.
We arrived at Koh Raham at the end of our daily boat trip. We disembarked on this nice long and pretty secluded beach which leaded to a pretty nice resort and its unique beach bar. The whole scenery was well decorated in a very tropical jungly way. It really looked astonishing and I wish we would go back and maybe even stay at that resort one day.
As we walked past the resort through a tidy pathway, we eventually reached the bar/restaurant. Never going to know what that sign really says.. I gues 'The true taste of.. sand' is appropriate as it is right now.. :)
That was one of the many areas you could stop for pictures. There were big swings tied from the top of massive trees, hammocks and all sorts of decoration that would incentivize people to pose infront or around them.
And from here we enter to this beautiful place.
That's the massive swing I was talking about. It was tied so high that it was actually hard to climb on top off and balance. Getting the two of us was a small challenge but we managed somehow. ^^
This hammock was right by the entrance. Already occupied with someone napping. The resort seemed very quiet, which is most likely because of covid (even fully booked places seem haunted because Thais avoid the sun for the most part). Other than our group, there were maybe 2-3 guests of the resort we saw at that time.
Decorations were hanging literally everywhere. It made the place somewhat even cosier that way.
We weren't that hungry so all we got was coffee and smoothies and sat at the area near the sea.
The view from here was mesmerizing in the afternoon.
And then there were these stairs leading in the water.
We didn't stay long. We had about an hour or so and then we had to head back to Koh Samui. It was a pretty relaxing end of the day after all the swimming and snorkelling.
Here's one last photo from the beach area leading towards the restaurant.
I didn't bring my camera here, so all of the photos are taken with the phone camera. The place was so nice though that the quality doesn't even matter so much!
The day trip costed us about 1200 baht per person which would be 40ish $. Pretty good bargain for all the places we went to. We even had lunch included. This was just one of the 3 days we spent in Samui and I'll be sharing the rest of our trip in the following days. Stay tuned for that and have a great end of the week in the meanwhile!
