Geopolis has been active for more than 6 months by now and the time has come for some new updates. Growth has steadily decreased and a stable amount of members has been reached. This makes that we will now focus more on the user's experience and engagement between members of the community.
What is Geopolis?
Geopolis is a community that brings authors/enthusiasts together who are interested in earth-related sciences. Mainly Geography, Geology, Ecology, Anthropology, Archeology and History. It is an effort to reward good posts written within these categories and to encourage discussion and involvement.
People can support the project by becoming a member and in return they can benefit from extra rewards and privileges.
Updates and break
As mentioned in the beginning of this post, some changes will be made on the workings of @geopolis. But before those updates come in place, Geopolis will take a break for two weeks. Starting on the 15th of July until the 31st. After those weeks the updates will take place and also posts written within that period will get reviewed eventually. The lease of Steem Power this week has not been renewed because of the expected inactivity, but voting strength will return shortly after the update.
The exact content of the update will remain a surprise, but you can expect something like a more public voting system and updated information texts.
Are there things you would like to see changed or do you know ways to improve geopolis? Comment them bellow and maybe they can get implemented together with the new changes!
