To decentralize the community, and to boost involvement of members within the community a discord channel will manage the curation of posts.Geopolis is a community that connects people who are interested in fields of "global" sciences. These deal with planet earth and the interesting interactions taking place on it. Although just as fascinating, they do not always fit in the categories of "STEM". Here at Geopolis, these sciences are the corner stone of the community. Each day well-written posts get upvoted and supported that deal with one of these sciences (see tags below). You can get your post reviewed by using the #geopolis tag, or one of the other supported categories: #geography, #geology, #anthropology, #ecology, #archeology and certain fields of #history. You posts does not have to be a perfect scientific report on a subject, but it should at least comply with these quality standards:
Upvoting is done through a channel on the Discord server. A little mix of hand picked curators have the permission to get good posts upvoted they might come across. Almost everyday all new posts in the given categories get reviewed one by one. If your post wasn't selected within two or three days after posting you can ask in the discord server for personal feedback on your writing.
Any account writing in the categories mentioned above are able to get supported by Geopolis. Base votes are currently worth less than one SBD (0.07) so your support will surely help many others. You can become a member which will not only help us grow, but also offers you bigger rewards. Depending on the amount of support you give, your possible rewards can increase as well.

For the status of Member+, every few days the 7 latest posts are assessed. Members who upvoted at least 5 of those 7 posts automatically become a plus member. The roles on discord are not yet automatically updated, but this will be implemented in the future. When in doubt about your membership status you can always contact a moderator on discord who will gladly check it for you.
