Geography: Know you seven continents better

In this post @nvlsen writes about our seven continences with some interesting and fun facts. It is always nice to learn new things about the continents that looked so common.

Our planet Earth is enriched with seven massive continents and 70percent of its surface filled with water bodies. With regards to modern technology, these continents are accessible within few hours from your home continent and one can easily explore a new life and culture of the people in the nation visited. This documentary would guide you on what each of these great continents entail ranging from their geography down to their characteristics.

Geology: Upper Peninsula Michigan Geology Trip

@jaymesbawned takes us with him on his trip to Michigan's upper peninsula where he went rappelling in an old copper mine and discovers more beautiful geological features.

I had the privilege of visiting Michigan's Upper Peninsula last summer, and as a geology student, it did not disappoint. The picture above shows beautiful uplifted layers of rock behind a small inlet. Also interesting, the water in the inlet is brown due to the tannins in the pine needles that fall from the nearby trees.

The supernatural is also believed to be a source of evil, particularly when used by witches,in that supernatural means may be used with malevolent (evil-minded) intent by people who are believed to have the knowledge, power and disposition to do so. There are two categories of acts associated with malevolent application of supernatural powers, namely witchcraft and sorcery. The anthropologist Evans-Pritchard defined witchcraft as the inherent (inborn) power to harm other people by supernatural means. He distinguishes this from sorcery, which is learned and is the harmful or aggressive use of magic.

@inna-yatsuk points to the pollution in the Mekong river in Vietnam and the ecological effects this can have. With more illustrations you can get to know how this problem began and why it will be a difficult problem to tackle in the future.

I want to draw your attention to the ecology of our world. This is one of many examples of irresponsibility and indifference of mankind to our Earth. The time will come and the planet will destroy the humanity on it! Today's example is my story about one of the most polluted rivers of the globe - the Mekong.
