Ecology: A new study has found that the Venus flytrap (Dionaea muscipula) can opt not to eat its pollinators!

The Venus flytrap is probably one of the most know carnivorous plants. Such plants can use the nutrients of prey when the habitat they live in do not provide enough nutrients by itself. But how does plants like this prevent eating the same insects that pollinate them? A new study has found that the plant appears to have a trick for that. The Venus flytrap is most likely the best known carnivorous plant in the entire world, and it is very common to have as a houseplant. In the wild, you will find this plant in subtropical wetlands in the U.S. states North Carolina and South Carolina. They are actually not that hard to find there if you know where to look, but you will not find them in the wild anywhere else in the world, so they have a very narrow geographical range. , but they do not give a good reason why it is classified as this. There are four major landforms which result from fluvial deposition and found principally at the lower course of running water. These are alluvial fans, flood plain and associated features, estuary and delta. Hello guys. I'll be sharing briefly with you all the geology of the Chad basin.
It's referred to as the Borno basin by many Authors while describing the Nigerian part of the entire Chad region. Whiteman(1982) described the Borno basin as an I'll defined unit situated in the North East top of Nigeria and Eastern side of Kaduna basement massive,north of the Zambuk ridge of the Biu volcanic plateau. The Borno trough may have formed part of the entire Borno-Chad rift trough system which extends from the Air massives to lake Chad. This system nay be part of a failed arm of an aborted right system whose geometry and age cannot be defined.

The anthropological study of symbols has developed into a comprehensive field that includes (a number of) different approaches or trends. Collectively, these approaches are referred to as symbolic anthropology. Some well-known anthropologists who have contributed to the study of symbols are Geertz, Turner and Levi-Strauss. Although their approaches differ, they all investigate the meanings of symbols and symbols as a means of communication.

To introduce you to the symbolic anthropology, we will briefly discuss the approaches of Claude Levi-Strauss, Clifford Geertz and Victor Turner. In this post, I will show you how these different anthropologists have applied the seemingly simple concept of Symbolism to a complex system of thought.
