I took this today on a side Canal in Saphan Mai as I took a short cut. To be honest, there are thousands of  small bridges across thousands of kilometres of canal. Bangkok is known as 'The Venice of the East' for good reason.

The restaurant shacks on the left which border an alley are still going strong while those on the right are slowly being pulled down.

I'd have loved to have seen the genuine floating markets all those years ago of which just a few still remain for the tourists but now no more than fake tourist traps.
