There is something deeply calming for me when I see railway tracks. I love trains anyway, but the rails themselves just look so perfect.
Whether its the symmetry or geometry or the gentle curve of something as strong as steel I don't know. It may even be the way they glisten in the sun.
Either way, I find them soothing as they make tracks into the distance and almost to a point....
