In today's episode, I talk about Playing It Forward

What does entails is doing a service for someone for free knowing that in the end, it will benefit them.

I had a client previously that wanted me to become a business partner in her company, I knew that I wasn't going to be able to provide her with the time that she would have required for me to help her business so I said no to becoming a partner.

She then decided to go to another digital marketing agency which I recommended against as I've seen some of the dodgy stuff that this company had done through the SEO work I have done not only for my own digital marketing agency but for other clients.

Fast forward about a year and she has contacted me again to ask me for help as the other company had ripped off by quite a substantial amount of money.

With the businesses are currently run I just didn't have time to take her on as a new client, instead I said to her let me show you and explain to you various processes of your own digital marketing.

I have helped to set up her Google AdWords Shopping ads campaign which has been a good learning curve for her because she's also seen some of her products that needed to be updated with not only prices but back-end SEO work.

She has spent about a month uploading her product so far and then just before the recording of this video I was explaining to her how Facebook Marketplace works. She then spent the morning uploading her products to Facebook marketplace and has seen a substantial amount of traffic towards her website.

I've never had someone be so grateful for the knowledge that I've shown them that she has even offered to do all the branding for my work vehicles for free for me. I wasn't quite expecting anything but this makes me extremely happy, as I played it forward and have now gained a follower that will be there for the test of time.
