Hey! Thank you for reading me and thank you for taking the time to write this answer. It goes straight to my heart!
The property that we have 300 km from our house is a leisure plot with a pond and a small cabin that we bought almost two years ago for a modest sum, back when we didn’t yet have a house (we were living in a converted van at the time).
When we bought this land, we thought we could properly set up the cabin to live there for at least a year. But the conditions were way too difficult and, by a happy coincidence, someone was able to rent us a house for a modest sum, 300 km from our cabin. As a result, we now live full-time 300 km away from our cabin, and we go there from time to time to maintain the land (3000 m²) and make repairs on the cabin, which lets in a bit of water.
If you want, I can give you a recipe to make your own bread (with sourdough). It’s foolproof, and even though the recipe takes 24 hours, that’s because of the fermentation and resting time. In itself, it only takes 20 minutes to make 👍
