Yesterday (Sunday 21 April) is celebrating the day of the Child and I asked myself the question: When do we stop being children?
Ask yourself the following question:
At that moment the disciples approached Jesus and asked him:
-Who is the most important in the kingdom of heaven?
He called a child and put him in their midst. Then he said:
-I assure you that unless you change and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven.
These attitudes are what put us in a privileged position before God because hatred, resentment, disbelief, arrogance, greed and bitterness (which are not behaviors that distinguish a child), separate us from the Father.
The influence of the world and the worries of life progressively envelop us and thus cultivate in us a seed of egocentricity that, when it germinates, causes the disappearance of the virtues with which God designed us, those that we reflect without imposition when we are children. Let's go back to our principles, those we have forgotten. Let's be like children again.
Resist yourself to continue being who you are not and take back your identity. You are a boy or a girl who can smile no matter what has happened or you are living. At the hand of Jesus all things are new; When our lives become new, they return to being as before, as children.
