Greetings earthmen! I come in peace. Take me to your leaders @juliakponsford and
@castleberry so we can discuss the terms of your surrender. Sorry alien art lovers. I was just itching so much to say these words which are from memories of long ago of alien movies I saw. Thanks for indulging me.
Hello once again. This is my second post to this community and I am so excited about it. In my first one I featured some abstract art that I saw in an art gallery here in our city. The artworks were being brought inside the gallery just as the previous exhibitors were taking out theirs. For those who missed my first post and would like to see it, just click on the link here. Anyway, I promised to try and return to the gallery to see how the paintings were arranged and displayed and to show those pieces I have missed during the ingress of the exhibitor. But fate would not have it and before I realized it the exhibit ended last March 31 without me making a return visit.
I was only able to go back last April 2nd. But to my surprise and delight a new group of artists were exhibiting their paintings. This group call themselves Prisma de Oriente which means Prism of the East. A very apt name because these artists come from the City of Mati, which is in in the eastern side of our island, Mindanao. Their art exhibition was named Pagsubang meaning Rising. Again another perfect name for their exhibit because as you know, the sun always rises in the east.
And now for the artworks!
These are, to my mind, the more bizzare and outré artworks that were worth sharing with you. There were many more but were on the realistic and figurative form. Some nature and pop art too which might not fit our genre here in this community.
And that's all for this post. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did putting these together. Until next time, please stay safe everyone and may peace be with everyone, especially in Ukraine.
