Hi Friends... South India is famous for Jasmine and here we can see different varieties of Jasmine flowers.
We call this flower as 'Mallige' in the local language here. The mainly available one is Udupi or Mangalore Mallige which has a tiny sleek look but has got a very strong fragrance!!. This variety of Jasmine is used for Pooja in Temples and also in the weddings and other functions. .. It has got 5 petals.
Other one is Kerala Jasmine, which has 2 rounds of petals arrangement and looks like a double layered Jasmine flower. Will come with this in my future blogs. :)
But this particular one resembles a rose flower with it's multi-layered petals arrangement. Even the bud looks like a small round ball and after blooming it has got the same Jasmine Fragrance and lasts for only one day like other Jasmine varieties .
We can't get this in the markets. I have this in my garden. So these pics were taken using my smartphone Honor.
Hope you liked this post.
With much love and regards, @geetharao...
