Silicone Can’t Fill The Hole In Your Heart

Totally thought this was a post about how sex toys aren't as good as human relationships...

Cosmetic enhancement procedures are on the rise, and what’s worse is the fact that they are being more and more normalized by the day.

Those procedures aren't even really that much more advanced than they were doing years and years ago either...and have questionable long term effects. You don't want to stick something in your body that will cause problems at the same time as looking horrible and disgusting in 10 or 15 years.

We may reach a time where you can look like whatever you want...but right now, you're really putting your looks in someone's hands. Hopefully they do everything right and you look good after...but they're cutting into you and turning you into mass marketed art.

Truth be told, telling people that their bodies are perfect as they are and that happiness comes from within doesn’t sell a coin.

It's also considered offensive these days.

People should be able to choose what they do with their own bodies...but it's also important to realize why we are doing it, and perhaps consider whether or not we really should. It's not my business what anyone does with their body. It's there's after all. But I find it kind of offensive that society convinces people that they aren't enough they way they are.

They're also selling a bullshit crappy product. Maybe in 50 years or whatever we'll actually be able to do the surgeries that will give people the look they want...but the people that try to do that wind up looking like a tale of tragedy on the problems of surgery addiction.
