In regards to boiling: I think it depends on the type of rosehips. Some when talking about rose hips mean the knots from the rose. I don't know if this is just a mistake that's happened over the years due to people growing it, or if the hips of the stems of the rose have benefits too. But those more than likely need to soaked in very warm water over a period of time to break down. Maybe not boiling, but the warmer the better to break them down.
For the fruit, rosehips, I would say that you would probably want to soak it in warm water, starting a bit over a temperature that would kill bacteria and fungus that may be on it. Just to avoid contamination and anything growing in it. Nowhere near boiling temp though. Like tea temp. Maybe raise back to around that temp if you don't use it in a week.
OR, you'd want to soak it in an alcohol to make an infusion. Oil would be another possibility, but would take longer.
Both should be stored in a warm place, such as in the sun, if the container is opaque. The sunlight would break down some things, so putting it in a bag or something would help. Same could be done with water, as in "Sun Tea".
The problem of course with oil and alcohol extracts of extracts is that they limit their use. You don't wanna be drinking a shot of extract every day. At least some don't. It would probably be good for baking or no bake health bars, or on top of something like yogurt in the evening.
You'd want to make it as heavy with the fruit, or multiple fruits, as possible, to make the alcohol more infused and less of just a flavoured drink. Raisins are a more common fruit this is done with for health.
As to the professionalism: It's up to ever individual. On Steem there was this huge problem where people would obsess over making all of our posts quality, forgetting that this is a social network and blogging service. You should try to make posts with a bit of quality, but you should also just post, and regularly. If a post is gonna take you a week to raise the quality, sometimes you gotta just post.
