It is ok to take tips. In fact, a tip from a friend encouraged me to enter the market. However, what I have learned is not to follow any tip blindly and only execute on it if I personally think it is the right trade. Moreover, it is not really the tips or what we think is the correct move, but rather implementing proper measures to exit the trade when market says we are wrong.
