English version

There are dates that are not celebrated, but rather felt. They are experienced like a memory that lives in the body, like a story that did not begin with us, but continues with every step we take. Women’s Month is one of those moments when time seems to pause for an instant, inviting us to look inward and also backward, and to recognize how far we have come.

Being a woman is not just one thing. It is being many things at once. It is inhabiting multiple versions of ourselves: the one who dreams, the one who resists, the one who cares, the one who reinvents herself. It is also holding questions, moving through doubts, and building paths.

From my experience, being a woman has been a process of constant transformation. As a scientist, as a teacher, as a migrant, as a woman who feels, creates, and questions, I have learned that our story is not written in straight lines, but in curves, in pauses, in impulses. I could say even in setbacks, but these days a valuable woman told me: you did not take steps backward, you just paused for a while and are now moving forward more slowly. That truly stayed with me. Because I tend to be very hard on myself.

This text I am sharing is an invitation to recognize ourselves, to honor ourselves, and to remember ourselves both individually and collectively. To look at everything we have been… and everything we continue to be, and of course, to dream about what we will become. With love for all women.

Enjoy the reading!

1.Woman (in prose)

Being a woman is an experience that cannot fit into a single definition. It is history, it is body, it is soul, it is memory, it is life. It is that girl who dreamed without knowing the limits of her dreams, the young woman who discovered the world step by step, shy and full of fears, and of course, the woman who, over time, learned to rebuild herself as many times as necessary—and who continues to do so today. Because a woman is movement.

Being a woman is also living within contradictions and uncertainties. It is being strong and vulnerable at the same time, even if it seems contradictory to some. It is holding others while also needing to be held. It is learning to occupy spaces where there was once no place, and also creating new spaces when the existing ones are not enough.

In science, in life, in every space, being a woman has meant opening paths, questioning structures, and also supporting others. Because we do not move forward alone. Every step carries the imprint of those who came before and the hope of those who will come after.
Being a woman is, in essence, an act of constant creation.

2. Woman (in verses)

I am the daughter,
I am the sister,
I am the cousin and the sister-in-law.

I am the one who dreamed in that small town,
searching for laughter among waterfalls.

I am the city woman who learned to love the noise,
because within it, her path was also being built.

I am the one who got lost in a gaze,
and also the one who found herself within her own soul.

I am the one who sits by the sea
and lets time teach her how to breathe.

I am the one who falls,
the one who doubts,
the one who rises again even with an open wound.

We are the ones who remain standing,
the ones who fight,
the ones who create,
the ones who do not give up.

Because we are not a single story,
we are many voices beating at the same time.

And within each one,
lives the strength
of all.
