I bought some Siacoin recently but was a bit late to take profit after the 50% bull trend. I expect another rally but only after Bitcoin cools off. The sudden drop in Siacoin comes because Bitcoin is now on the rampage, which tends to take the wind out of a lot of the Altcoin sails.
I have tried the SC wallet and it all works fine. It comes with with a graphically pleasing interface in subtle turquoise. I have transferred coins to and from the wallet with ease, although the return to Poloniex took an hour for 6 confirmations before it became available. Keep in mind too that the wallet has to be synchronised before transactions can take place, so you will need to keep it updated regularly if you want to transfer funds in a hurry. It takes an hour or so to sync the first time and then just a few minutes per day to sync up.
The password is a string of 29 words which need to be copy pasted in order to open the wallet.
I also tried the file hosting but I guess, due to the company Firewall, I was not able to forward the ports 9981/9982 which the software needs to communicate. I also enquired about how much down time you were allowed for file hosting and was told that the system needs to be running 99.9% of the time, so I'm probably not going to go that route at the moment.
more to come.....
