Today is Dhanteras,The term Dhanteras translates as dhan (wealth) teras (thirteenth day)
of Lunar forenight,which marks the beginning of the first day of the five-day india biggest festival Diwali, is considered most auspicious to buy gold and silver. Buying gold on auspicious occasions is a part of our Indian tradition,it is believed to bring prosperity and good luck for life time. Even people see gold as embodying Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth in it. Even there is traditon to buy clay idol Lord Ganesha and Goddness Laxmi for diwali pooja(worship), utensils, broom.
On the day of Dhanteras, the sale of gold and silvers reaches one of its annual higgest in India.Even the jewellers gives exciting offers and gifts for buying gold and silver, as Many of us buy gold bars, gold ornaments, gold coins ,silver coins or silver ware, silver idols of god on this auspicious day to invoke prosperity and good fortune.
well, Gold is considered to be safest investment as compared to others, as because the rate of gold has been increasing since 35 years, Gold return over long term has be quite attractive which also adds reason to an emotional act. In india investing in gold is totally risk free and get high rate of interest in short period of time. Gold has its own charm women has as it is not only jewellery but also an investment asset class. My plan for dhanteras is buying the clay idol of Lord Ganesha and goddness Lakshmi is as we do worship during the diwali evening, will buy 10 gram silver coin and 10 gram of gold biscuit of 24karat for investment purpose only, as i never rush to buy gold jewellery as there is lots of making charges on it, during the time of return there is deduction of gold.It is always mandatory to know about the return and buypack policy. Well i started taking 24 karat gold since 5 years, as per my personal experience investing in gold give you higher return,well in my childhood I thought gold is only for wearing i didn't know it is one of best investment options.**
