why our lord Ganesh Elephant headed?

As per the Hindu mythology,It is believed that or we may say a story has been narrated by our ancestors that Mother of lord Ganesha(Parvati) given him a task to stand by the door of her palace as she was taking bath and not allow anyone to come inside. When her own husband lord Shiva, tried to enter in the human form stopped from his path. Shiva got angry at being denied entry into his own home by his own son ganesha and an furious battle occurred. Shiva won the battle and beheading Ganesha. But he immediately felt guilty that he cut his Son head and he knew his wife will get angry at him. So he sent his servant to bring back the head of the first creature they came across. They met an elephant with one tusk who happily sacrificed his head for the honour. That's why our lords looks like elephant.

it was mix feeling while saying goodbye, it was bitter truth that nothing is permanent in this world, the reason behind Lord Ganesh鈥檚 idol is a way of reminding people that if you are born in this world, death is inevitable. Lord Ganesha idol was being immersed in a river is because the ocean itself aa a god as per hindu tradtion and the Ganesh idol is the soul inside which is seeking Moksha or salvation.

We played colour with the family members which is part of our celebration. We believe that Lord Ganesha comes every year with prosperity and success.
