Diwali is the greatest celebration of Hindus and is praised on the fifth day of the five-day celebration, Bhai Dooj. Bhai Dooj is otherwise called Yama Dwitiya. The celebration of Bhai Dooj is a celebration dependent on a sibling-sister relationship, which is praised with extraordinary respect and shared love. After Rakshabandhan, Bhai Dooj is the subsequent celebration committed to the undying affection for sibling and sister.
How to celebrate
The Festival of Bhai Dubhai Dooj is commended on the third day of Deepawali. On this day wedded sisters, siblings, and sisters welcome their sibling to their home for food, and by making a group of Bhai Dooj from cow excrement, worshiping it, and giving food to the sibling with adoration. The sister wishes her sibling for his long life by applying tilak and giving gifts. Sibling, there are some far-off convictions, in light of which it is commended in various ways in various regions.
Story of Bhai Dooj
Yamraj and Yamuna were brought into the world from the belly of Chhaya, the spouse of Suryadev. The Yamuna used to tenderly demand her sibling Yamraj to go to his home and have food. However, Yamraj used to abstain from discussing the Yamuna in view of being occupied. Be cheerful, welcome the sibling, and get him food. Satisfied with this, Yamraj requested that the sister request aid. Then, at that point, the sister said to the sibling that you will come each year on this day to eat food and on this day the sister who takes care of her sibling by immunizing him ought not to fear you. Yamraj went to Yampuri saying 'Tathastu'. It is accepted that the siblings who clean up in the Yamuna on this day with full commitment acknowledge the cordiality of their sisters, they and their sister don't have a dread of Yama.
Perception
It is a popular belief about Bhai Dooj, that by applying tilak to the brother on this day, lovingly feeding food to each other not only increases love, but the brother's life is also long. Since Yamuna Ji had taken a promise from his brother Yamraj on this day, according to him, by celebrating Bhai Dooj, one gets freedom from the fear of Yamraj, and the brother's age and sister's fortune increase.
Brother's love is different. There is no better occasion than this to show love to a brother who has been concerned since childhood for his sister. As much importance is given to Raksha Bandhan, the same importance should be given to Bhai Dooj. The Sister should invite her brother to her house and feed him and with the wish of a long life, give a small but good gift.
