Hello Hive Friends! I want to share with you my memories from my summer trip to Transcarpathia Region (Ukraine) in 2021.

This summer I have visited one of the bigest and oldest fortifications in Ukraine. This is the Palanok Castle or it also called as Mukachevo Castle, and it a typical medieval fortress of the 11th centery.

Standing at the entrance gate to the Palanok Castle, my attention was immediately drawn to a skull in the window of a tall tower. It looks like a some symbol.

You will be able to see thе skull if you enlarge this photo.

This seemingly inconspicuous detail immersed me in thoughts of time and eternity. I wandered around the castle for a long time and thoughts of its past really ignited my interest and imagination. Even now, looking at these black and white photos, I seem to be reading the history of this age-old castle and the past of my country.

Thank you for your attention and for reading me! Good luck everyone!
