Hello Steemians. My first entry hosted by @juliank. I posted this under street photography. I guess this could qualify as a portrait photo except the subject did not pose for me. I took this in the park I live by. Being young should be about freedom and exploration of life. Sadly, in a big city I encounter lots of youth who are lost and sad. I try to stop and talk with them as often as I can and offer words of encouragement. It means a lot to them when someone shows compassion. This kid could have been me a few years back.
