Couple of points of views.
From a bouncers perspective this is absolutely criminally liable.
From martial artist a perspective this is negligence and callousness.
As a human being this is just blatant disrespect.
In a security profession such as this the guy is completely ripped apart because if you're having to deal with the situation in this manner you already need help.
Choking the kid out would have been just fine. Had he not let the kid flop to the ground and bounce his head. This is basically grievous head trauma.
I can tell you that there are too many cases for me to sufficiently cite and argue this case but pretty much every time this has resulted in the death of an individual the liability has been completely at the bouncers feet and and sometimes a murder charge has stuck and people have gone to prison.
That bouncer's going to have a hard time ever finding work in the industry again.
Poorly trained and probably only reason why he got the job was because of his size and record which is now gone.
Justifiably I am going to bet that jail time is in order and will be served.
