Man is born free but everywhere he is in chains
Jean Rousseau
Moses has given thee the 10 commandments but Jesus summarized them into TWO. Today, I present to thee the 10 commandments of Steemit.
1.
Thou shall not plagiarize
Thou shall always ensure that thou post only original contents; if thou post the work of other authors, thou shall not forget to cite thy sources.
2.
Thou shall not insult fellow Steemite
Steemit is a place to share knowledge, share love, and earn Steem dollars. Thou shall not insult people in the quest of expressing your opinion. Disagree, if thou must, respectfully.
3.
Thou shall not Spam
If thou wouldst promote thy work or other products, thou must not do that on other people's posts. Thou shall write your own post and promote it with SBD or booster bots.
4.
Thou shall not comment on a post without understanding it.
If thou seest a post and wish to comment, thou shall read it thoroughly and make meaningful contributions, so that thou looketh not like a fool in thy brethren's eyes.
5
Thou shall always tag thy post correctly
Thou shall always tag your posts correctly, so that thy brethren can easily find them and read them.
6
Thou shall power up regularly
Thou shall make it a habit to power up regularly, so that the Steemit community becomes stronger for thy sake and the sake of thy children's children.
7
Thou shall promote Steemit regularly
Thou shall always remember that thou was introduced to Steemit by someone; therefore, thou shall not slack in promoting the wonders of Steemit to others.
8
Thou shall not flag a post unnecessarily
Thou shall not be careless with flagging a post; thou must not flag a post because it contradicts your personal beliefs and ideologies. Thou shall only flag a post which contradicts the core values of Steemit.
9
Thou shall not clash with a whale
A whale is like a mountain and thou like an egg; thou shall clash not with a whale for thy reputation would be ruined.
10
Thou shall not be greedy with thy upvotes.
Thy upvote is like an oxygen, thou needest it to live, so likewise others. Thou shall give upvote to someone and thou shall also get upvotes. In the end, thou would make Steemit a happy place for all.
Anyone who is guilty of one of these commandments is guilty of all.
