Reliving Childhood Nostalgia: Meena Game Level 6 "Stop Taking Dowry"

It feels like winter is about to set in.Yes winter is certainly on its way; the hint of mild, gentle sunlight in the morning tells me so.Winter hasn't fully arrived yet, but it is on its way.When I wake up in the morning, I don't feel the same heat as before and I keep the room fan turned off; this makes me realize that winter is very close and the heat is fading.The end of the heat means relief for us.

The end of the hot season brings us relief, as the extreme heat makes daily life uncomfortable for a long period of six to eight months.The first issue is the heat, and the second is excessive load-shedding—meaning our country simply lacks sufficient electricity.Intense heat leads to frequent power outages, leaving people in both rural and urban areas in a state of great discomfort.After waking up this morning and feeling cold, I was thinking about these matters with the room fan turned off.Finally, the heatwave ends.

The morning got off to a fresh start and since I had my smartphone with me, I sat in my room for a while in peace.Sitting in my room, I recalled other scenes from the village—such as how people would gather and chat at the tea stall even during power outages.There is a unique pleasure in drinking tea at a village *tong* shop; these stalls are like mini-parliaments where villagers sit and discuss various topics.

While villagers in the past may have been somewhat naive, they have become much more astute today thanks to the educated youth.For instance, in the past, arranging a daughter's marriage required preparing various dowry items—such as radios, televisions, bicycles or motorcycles—alongside cash.These practices were rampant during the 1990s.But in present times, the practice of dowry has virtually ceased because people have become much more intelligent and educated.

In the 1990s, when the dowry system had spread widely—becoming akin to an epidemic—the government, in collaboration with UNICEF, produced the 'Meena' cartoon series.Among the many episodes of the series, the message was incorporated that accepting a dowry is a punishable offense and a crime under the law.This episode, titled "Stop Taking Dowry," was featured as Episode 6 of the Meena cartoon series.

The 'Mina' game also features that sixth episode today, which calls for an end to the practice of taking dowry.Yes sitting here in this cool room, I played this particular episode of the 'Meena' game today.Raising awareness and educating people through games.There is a lot to learn from a game if we play the right one.The title of today's 6th episode of the Meena game is "Stop Taking Dowry.The main characters of this game are Meena and her pet parrot, Mithu.

So, today I played Episode 6 of the Meena game.Since every episode of the Meena game is educational, I will share all of them on the best platform—Hive.Level 6 of the game features a storyline centered on the dowry system—a major social evil.

At the beginning of the game, a greedy village shopkeeper demands an expensive bicycle, a radio, a motorcycle and a large sum of money from Tara’s impoverished father for his nephew's wedding.Meena’s clever bird, Mithu, secretly overhears this plot and informs Meena.Meena then raises awareness among the villagers and unites them against this injustice.The greedy groom's party initially tries to flee with the dowry items, but Mina chases after them.

You can clearly see the scenes in today's gaming videos or screenshots.Meena's first objective is to recover the dowry items, return them to the innocent family, and counsel them.His second objective is to unite the villagers and punish the greedy groom's family.Meena manages to convince the girl's family that giving a dowry is wrong, and the red bar on the screen begins to empty—something you can see in my gameplay video.

Then Meena chases after those greedy individuals, retrieves the items and completely empties the red bar.Completely emptying the red bar means Mina has succeeded.When Mina succeeds, the greedy individuals chase after her but to no avail; she safely reaches her destination, gathers the villagers, and ensures the offenders are punished.In this way, the greedy are penalized for their dowry-seeking and the villagers become more aware.
