Red Faction Guerrilla ReMarstered 60 fps pc gameplay preview (no commentary) with an xbox controller.
The game is about
Red Faction Guerrilla Re-Mars-tered is the remastering of the iconic videogame of the Red Faction saga. It has improved graphics - aspects that range from textures to the use of lighting and shadows or the same type of post-processing of images - have been changed, but it still offers us a proposal with a large, completely destructible scenario that develops its plot fifty years after the events that took place in Red Faction.

My opinion after playing
THQ Nordic is working hard to bring some of its licenses to Nintendo Switch: it has already released Battle Chasers: Nightwar, Titan Quest, Battle World Kronos and Darksiders: Warmstered Edition, and now it has just released Red Faction Guerrilla Re-Mars-tered for the hybrid console. As in the rest of cases, they are late versions with respect to other platforms that, perhaps, do not suppose an added value for the purchase of the system, but it is a guarantee to increase the quality of your library. On this occasion, we are facing a solvent action game with more than 10 years behind him that, surprisingly, still fits in these times.
Red Faction Guerrilla Re-Mars-tered can be defined as a third-person action video game in which destruction is everything; What's more, the most important thing in this videogame is its successful physics system, which few projects have managed to overcome. While we are destroying EDF bases and different equipment, we will face hordes of this Martian army with a rather archaic pointed system that reminds us of Just Cause, in a huge open world with up to six different control zones.
Playing this game in 2019 I discovered that there is nothing new about open-world video games released in recent years: except that successful system of destruction, we must go destroying targets to go down the moral level of the opposite side, shooting hordes of pretty hard enemies, and go conquering the six zones in which the map is divided. The surprising thing is that, despite not telling anything new (obviously, being a remastering), it is a video game that is enjoyed as the first day. I do not know if thanks to its unlimited fun or its proper progression.
Red Faction Guerrilla could be a simple shooter with predictable history, monotonous missions and Martian deserts, but the mechanics of destruction is as fresh now as it was almost a decade ago, you can face each battle in a multitude of ways, multiplayer and visual improvements are maintained they make us, at least, quickly forget their imperfections, tilting the scales in favor of their ambition and fun
