Conan Exiles is a multiplayer survival game played by Conan and his people in Hyboria where we will have to hunt, cultivate and survive in a hostile environment. As exiles, in the videogame we will have to fight against the multiple enemies that surround us and trying to get out alive from the most varied threats, which will go from wild animals to rival tribes, building shelters, weapons and tools for it.

My opinion after playing:

Funcom has designed its title as an online RPG with strong survival components. As in previous games like ARK: Survival Evolved, we will have to create an avatar in a powerful editor and start surviving by hunting animals and getting water. The crafting of elements and ingredients will be essential, as well as we will have to find a balance between our physiological needs. In Conan Exiles we will have multiple tools, weapons, clothes and types of decoration, because ultimately we will be forced to build a shelter to guard against the inclemency of a wild and dangerous Hyboria.

At Conan Exiles we will visit an enormous extension of Hyboria with forests, deserts, jungles and frozen places, its own cycle of day and night and its ecosystem of creatures and NPC. In the game there will be hundreds of references to the mythology of Robert E. Howard comics, and may even pay tribute to gods such as Mithra, Set or Yog.

Conan Exiles is an immersive, captivating and demanding experience of survival set in the mythical universe of Conan the Bárbaro that has managed to position itself as one of the referents of the genre. Here we not only find an extensive open world with a sensational setting and lots of life around us, but also a balanced progression system, a multitude of crafting options, a measure of survival difficulty and a combat that rewards the skill of the player. Finally, we have a very deep community creation system and a striking religious aspect, something that is enhanced if we choose to play online, either PVE or PVP.

Despite all these benefits, the video game must still improve fundamental aspects such as the limited artificial intelligence of enemies and allies, the inclusion of means of transport, the constant errors of the physics system and very poorly polished animations. Undoubtedly, Conan Exiles is an essential title for fans of the genre and for the connoisseurs of the work of Robert E. Howard, being also highly recommended for those who seek a new demanding experience of survival and crafting.
