Last Friday I saw some birds I hadn't met before...

Willow warbler
Phylloscopus trochilus, Willow warbler // Pajulintu

As we were leaving to see my father for the midsummer fest, I saw some interesting birds while giving Ninnu her walk, but sadly didn't have the camera with me. I fetched the camera from the car where I had already packed it, but most of the birds were gone. The only one left was this willow warbler above.

After we had arrived to my father's place, we heard a loud tsak-tsak-tsak sound in his yard. As we investigated it, we found this redstart was making all the noise while guarding his nest.

Common redstart
Phoenicurus phoenicurus, Common redstart // Leppälintu

Common redstart

It was moving so fast I had a hard time getting a sharp picture. My shutterspeed was a bit slowish, because I am recently trying to let more light in to fight the grain.

The last photo of this set is not a bird, but of a cloud formation that we saw last Thursday, right before a thunderstorm hit.

Hope you liked these...

See ya!
