Welcome guys to Incredible Mandy Review, I decided to take my time with this game, and as a result, I had loads of fun playing this game while learning the hidden lore of the game. There were frustrating moments like fighting a giant gecko boss which I couldn't figure out how to defeat. if any developers want to slide right into my twitter dm's feel free (cricket noises during a long pause)
Now as you all know I usually base my reviews on 4 things, which are the graphics, music, Lore if applicable and gameplay. Let's start on the gameplay of incredible mandy, this is a puzzle adventure meaning you will be fighting mobs along with solving puzzles to get to the next stage. I love the puzzles as they get harder each stage and are a real brain stumper. The combat system though I wish they would work on it a bit more because it was hard to fight mobs when you can't block or roll out of the way attacks. but otherwise fighting the mobs during each stage was challenging enough for me and a lot of fun. This game does come with bosses as challenging as the puzzles with the boss acting like one big puzzle you have to figure out before you can defeat him which I haven't seen before big props to the development team for that. I very much enjoyed the graphics as well gameplay because I was submerged into a dreamlike a world and I love every second of it.
The music was fantastic it helped me stay in my submerged state, the developers did a great job on this aspect. The lore of this game is that you and your sister are stuck in an endless dream state where you must find your way out, but what I want to know is how they got into this state. the developers have left little clues in the form of these boxes that contain comic strips, pictures with captions and short movies. which is nice because i'm planning on doing a lore video on figuring out why they are in this state.
The only thing bad about this game is that the combat system lacks a real way of defending yourself against the mobs you face in the game. other than that Incredible Mandy has been challenging fun, and exciting to play so I highly recommend you buy the game and give it a try.
