Kangaroos = San Diego. Makes perfect sense! 🤣
That's a couple really small hoppers you got there, I'm used to bigger ones, but one generally needs to get into the outback to see them at their full height.
As for kangaroos in the bush, nah they don't generally approach humans and are quite skittish mostly. I've been out hunting (pigs) where I've managed to stalk inside of 50 metres of a roo (from down wind) but they're clever buggers and most often bugger off. (I have good stalking skills too.) I guess it depends on the conditions, but no, they will not generally approach humans unless they're in a zoo scenario or heavy tourist area and accustomed to humans.
