I don't let people into my life or close to me lightly as I've had people take advantage, ingratiate themselves to me for the wrong reasons, and that's left me overly careful and selective; but with good people, the right ones, I'm more open and generous as evidenced by my interactions with several people on Hive who I believe are worthy. I value them.
