I understand how one sees the impending glory...And not the doom right at the outset. Been there many times.

I wonder though...Was that few inches about the pavement worth it? I say this because to me it always was. I mean I was more often in pain than not, but getting that little bit of air...Kind of made it worthwhile...Or is this just my recollection from here, safely in my office chair and not at risk of a face plant!
