I know how careful you are with your food so I'd certainly listen if you spoke for sure! I think it's just so complicated for most people and they end up just giving in. Some can't, like you, but most just comply.

One thing that 2020 confirmed for me was the power of my choice to go elsewhere. An example...We used to go to TGI Friday for a burger. Then they introduced that thing where you sit down, check the menu and have to download their app to order and pay. Your food arrives, brought over by someone, and you eat, then leave. When I found out what it was all about I bypassed that bullshit and just left prior to ordering. I won't go back. We do the same with other places and things, products. We just don't go back.

People are happy to accept lesser quality and service these days, as long as there's more, more, more. The apathy towards low quality products and services means it will continue.
