You've done well it what is a stressful situation and I'm sure it was a nice celebration of Hazel's life.

I've directly arranged two funerals, my mum and dad's, and it is always a difficult thing. I've been involved in many other funeral preparations also, and it doesn't get easier, although I guess we get more experienced at it.

In a week or so it'll be three years since my dad died (2020) and I was only thinking about it today because today is his birthday. Made me a little sad, I miss having a dad but I remember something I often say to those who have experienced such a loss: they're not where they once were, they're everywhere we go because we carry their memories in our hearts and minds.
