I agree with what you say about people, air give up in the wrong ones all the time, meaning if they are wrong for me I move on and away from them. I think it's important to do so as one-sided friendships or people who bring nothing but negativity aren't productive. I'm able to move on without another thought. I don't see it as giving up though, more, upholding my personal values and investing in a better present and future without those people.
