Verbally destroying someone in just about all cases is pretty uncalled for.

I know that, you know that and probably everyone else knows that. But clearly not the chap that oversees the factory. He pretty much runs the show out there and it's not my place to intervene although in this case I felt it was warranted, more from the personal perspective, to help the young lad process things better. It seemed to go well and I've since had feedback that it was very appreciated.

Often in situations like this people get hurt, fortunately not in this case, but it happens. I guess the boss-man was reacting to that possibility and went a bit overboard. I would have done things differently, but then I'm trained for that, to lead.

I'm hoping there's some systems improvements implemented, like QA process before powering something up and a spotter when reversing prime movers. Time will tell.
