That's so true and a good phrase to remember. Time doesn't bring wisdom, experience and listening to good advice does! Your dad was a clever man.

I was also educated in values: to be honest, humble, generous, patient, tolerant, responsible, forgiving and asking for forgiveness.

All great foundations to have and if one lives commensurate to values like this one will live a better their best version of life.
