Nah, it's degenerative like all diabetes. It's well-managed but that'll get harder the older I get. I'm six foot tall and weigh 88kg, fit, strong and very active which all combines to help manage the issue. I take some pills as diet and exercise no longer manages the blood sugar as well but I don't rattle when I walk (so not that many pills). I am careful with what I eat and test blood sugar regularly (2-3 times a day) so know what's up. It's alarming with the mmol/L reading climbs as it did after a bowl of pasta a couple days ago, but it's generally pretty good.
Having diabetes sucks. I look around at very obese and overweight people munging into cakes and stuff and think what the fuck. I don't look overweight, in fact I look pretty good I'm told, fit, and there's them enjoying life. Of course, I know differently, that they will meet a premature end...but still, it annoys me. I'll stay in my lane though and do what's required.
