Yeah, it was unpleasant. The site was formerly used as the town's unofficial dump and had car bodies in there etc. I didn't know this as it had been covered. I was very lucky not to get bitten to be honest. I must have been pinning its head or something. It was a big one too. 6ft or more. I got lucky.

Most of the ranges here are in scrubland so we get snakes out there...I think the shooting keeps them away though, mostly. It's funny though, we had a koala in a tree right over where we were shooting once...The little bugger was asleep in the crook of a tree and stayed there the whole day. Obviously more tolerant than the snakes! :)

So...6 shots on that snake and missed every one. I've never shot at a snake...Too scared I'll miss and the bugger will get made and launch at me! :)
