It's time to fuck it off mate...I did that a few years ago and am so glad not to have it.

I ended up unfriending everyone and deleting all the content (I didn't post much).

I then created a new email (that I can no longer even recall), changed the email on Facebook to that one, then changed my password on Facebook to a very obscure and long one...I agreed to it all via that new email I'd set up, then deleted the Facebook account altogether, after changing my name, country etc. on the profile. Once done, I threw the paper away on which I had written that email address, including the password (after logging out of it) and that was that.

So, no recovering that mother fucker anymore.

Lol.

Just get rid of it mate, it's shit anyway.
