Hesitant to even breathe
Arrogant yet still able to admit
You held the seat of the Queen
And now that it remains untaken
I can't help but glance beside me
At its emptiness
And remember your soulful smile
Before the days of war stripped us apart.
How do I rally this army without you?
How do I accept that you have forged
Your own path?
Your own glory to construct your kingdom
Without me?

This is my favourite part of your poem. Feels...Desperately passionate and regretful.
