Have you ever killed something that didn't want to be killed? I have, many times actually.
The Brisbane Broncos did also, last weekend when they played the Sydney Roosters. What did they kill? Well, they killed their season.
Ok, it's not totally dead but to make the final eight and play in the finals they need to win eight of their remaining nine regular season games and with the competition they face, and the way they've been playing, it seems incredibly unlikely.
Here's their results all year including last week's game against the Roosters.
Loss: Brisbane Broncos (0) V's Penrith Panthers (26) - What the fuck.
Loss: Brisbane Broncos (32) Vs Paramatta Eels (40) - What the fucking fuck.
Loss: Brisbane Broncos (12) V's New Zealand Warriors (42) - A lack of discipline cost the Broncos.
Loss: Brisbane Broncos (26) V's St. George Illawarra Dragons (30) - I don't even know what to say.
Loss: Brisbane Broncos (23) V's Gold Coast Titans (28) - A season ending loss? (Possibly)
Loss: Brisbane Broncos (6) V's South Sydney Rabbitohs (48) - I have no words.
Loss: Brisbane Broncos (18) V's Sydney Roosters (24) - Entertaining game - Likely a season-ending loss
Upcoming game:
Brisbane Broncos V's Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks
Mathematically the Broncos can still make the finals but their form has been terrible leaving them in 13th place on the ladder with the Cronulla Sharks in good form and sitting 8th. A tough game ahead I think.
