It's sometimes easy and straightforward - That's when people feel the best I think - and sometimes it feels complicated and that's when a person has to reach inside and find hidden reserves of inner strength, fortitude, resilience and energy. I mean life of course; it's easy and hard and no matter which a person has little choice but to go through it.
The image above shows me reflected in a glass door.
My reflection is somewhat distorted, pale and washed out I guess. I looked up and at my reflection that morning and it sort of triggered something, a thought of... I suppose a thought of feeling just a little overwhelmed. That's not something I generally allow myself to feel, or admit to but it was the truth.
I'll not go into it here, it's not that interesting really and you'll not be able to relate anyway, however I'll say that the demands of my job including constant travel all over the country together with some health challenges and the fact I'm renovating a house to move into and preparing another one for sale, (along with some other things besides) has me spread thinly and yeah... I guess pale and washed out generally.
I'll get over it, I've done far more difficult things in life and managed to get through them, but that doesn't negate the feeling in the moment right?
Have you ever felt this way; pale and washed out, drained, stressed and such other emotions? How do you push on with the complexities and situations causing you to feel that way? Do you ignore what has to be done in deference to your feelings and emotions and sense of self-preservation or do you delve within to find those hidden reserves of energy and motivation? Have you ever fallen in a heap and not pushed forward? How did that go for you?
Feel free to comment if you'd like to.
