- Sexy air hostess -
I've flown a lot, so many times I can't actually count them, and recently I took a couple more flights as I needed to be somewhere to do something and it was a long way from home. It was a good experience, right up the front of the plane, with excellent in-flight food and beverages, some interesting conversation and...well, there was this particular air hostess who...well, never mind.
Seriously, I've never had bad in-flight food; an indication of the price I've paid or airlines I've flown with? Maybe, although I've also flown with We'll-try-hard-not-to-crash Airlines, meaning low cost carriers, and in economy class as well and still the food has been acceptable, and mostly actually good.
Air France and Singapore Airlines have been the best I've experienced and I always try to fly internationally with one or the other where possible and with Singapore Airlines mainly although Malaysia Airlines, Finnair, British Airways and KLM have been good, as have others. Domestically I use Qantas and Virgin Australia with my most recent trip being with the former. It was a good experience from the moment I walked out of the Qantas Lounge where I enjoyed a gin and tonic and a pretty good slice of cheese cake to the greeting, check in, getting settled into my spot and the subsequent flight and in-flight services. Hmm yeah, that hostess...but that's another post for later on. Maybe.
I walked away feeling like I mattered to them, that I was valued, and I think that's a pretty good way for a customer to feel.
I've had some bad flights, I'll not deny it, and I don't just mean turbulence; yep, some of the flights I've taken have been horrendous, but generally most have been acceptable, and even on the bad ones, the food was pretty good. So I guess, overall, I can't complain about my airline experiences, although so many do. I've heard that quite often dissatisfaction begins in the airport where ground-staff can be somewhat abrupt or unhelpful at times, and I think it's probably partly due to people's poor preparation for the airport process which we all know can be problematic and stressful. It's easier to rant and rave at others for one's own faults or oversights I guess though...people love laying blame on others.
Combining all of my flying and airport experiences together into a single rating it'd be 9.5 out of 10 and I think that's pretty good considering how many times I've flown.

I thought I'd ask you folks about your experiences. Have you had good or bad flights or in-flight services and experiences? What about on the ground checking in or going through security, immigration and customs? Any good or bad experiences? Any funny ones? If so, and you want to, feel free to comment below as I'll get back to you, as always.
