Today is international flower day. Whoever came up with this holiday, but I like it. Earlier in our city on this day there were flower exhibitions, florists arranged contests. It was interesting and beautiful. This year, such events were canceled, as did almost all others. But it's summer outside, you can also admire flowers on flower beds, on the outskirts of the city in unmown grass.
It is a pleasant coincidence that the holiday falls on the longest day of the year. After all, flowers love a lot of light.
It turns out that each country has its own flower symbol. Chamomiles in Russia, poppies in Ukraine, cornflowers in Belarus, and a rose in England. It makes no difference to me, I love all flowers, but most of all I am impressed by cornflowers, especially those growing in rye. It is such a beautiful combination of bright blue cornflowers and golden cereals.
Oddly enough, but I do not like when they give me flowers. I prefer to admire the living. I love wildflowers. They are more modest, no one cares for them, but each is beautiful in its own way, you just have to look closely.
Potted flowers are touched in the summer, exposed to the street. They create a special cozy atmosphere.
These flowers are on display outside the cafe. There are many different, but more petunias.
Congratulations on the International Day of Flowers, the holiday is cute and beautiful.
