If in January winter was gaining momentum, then in February it already reigned in all its manifestations. It snowed almost every day. It just stopped in the last few days. The air temperature rose and the snow began to melt rapidly. Which is logical. The day after tomorrow, according to the calendar, spring will come.
Yes, most of February is endless snowfalls, strong winds. But every weather has its own beauty.
It is a pity that there were few sunny days in February. But still they were and I managed to take a few photos before I got sick.
I am always surprised when ducks get out of the water in winter and sit like this for a long time in the snow. Near the place where they sit there is a dam and the water does not freeze. Wild ducks live there in winter.
And here there are rooks and jackdaws in the snow, which means that the frosts are not great. In severe frosts you will not see these birds in the snow. They climb trees and sit there.
It is a pity that there were few sunny days in February. But when they happened, nature seemed to smile, filling everything around with light. The snow is especially fun for the kids. They enjoy riding down the hills.
I love in clear weather the gaps of the blue sky through the bare trees. It is a special pleasure to make walks in sunny winter weather. It’s good that snow was cleared in our parks every day and it was possible to walk without problems.
I noticed that animals also like snow. And they eat it when they want to drink, instead of water.
Of course, the most beautiful in their grandeur in winter are evergreen conifers.
It is surprising that during the long winter, not all trees completely shed their outfits. Some have remained with decorations and in sunny weather they are good against the blue sky.
Oh, what a rich harvest of cones this tree gave out. There is a beauty all decorated.
There was a strong wind that day, like many days in February. The photo clearly shows how he sways the branches of trees. Especially got the long branches of birch.
Suddenly I met such a miracle among the bare trees. Branches strewn with bright red berries.
The berries did not succumb to either severe frosts or winds.
If you compare this photo with all the previous ones, you can see a big contrast. The sidewalks are already snowless. But he didn't melt completely. It was cleaned every day by a technician. And the temperature helped. There are no more frosts in the last days of February. The weather turned to spring. And we are waiting for her. The dogs are happy too. Basking in the scant February sun.
This is what February was like for us. Snowy and sometimes rainy. Sunny and cloudy. And now he is confidently striding towards spring.
