According to the Spanish Royal Academy, the word discouragement means: Lack of courage, strength or energy to do, solve or undertake something. In Hebrew, it means being without strength to move on.
In both semantic contexts, the meaning is associated with a specific condition to which a person arrives, in which he feels without energy or forces to continue. Certainly, it has reached a certain place; but, he feels unable to continue.
That is, until here we arrived. There are NO forces to continue. Discouragement paralyzes us completely. We lose all our emotional, spiritual and physical faculties. We know what to do but there is NO energy to do it.

Now, when it comes to spiritual discouragement, the mind suffers a blockage that prevents us from acting according to the principles that God has established for the Christian.

Despite knowing his Word, we feel we have no strength to fulfill it. Does this statement sound familiar?

A spiritually discouraged person is isolated from others, for example: This person may begin to complain and not act to remedy the reason for their complaint. As a consequence it discourages even members of his own family.
2 And all the children of Israel complained against Moses and against Aaron; and the whole multitude said to them, "Would that we should die in the land of Egypt; or in this desert I wish we died! (Numbers: 14: 2)

These people come to have thoughts like: "God does not take me into account"; "How is God going to allow this problem in my family?"; "I'm living a difficult situation and nobody cares"

3 And why does Jehovah bring us to this land to fall by the sword, and that our wives and our children be taken as prey? Would not it be better to return to Egypt? (Numbers: 14: 3)

Discouraged people become critical and murmuring, even against God, against the leaders of the church, against other believers.
The next day, the whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron, saying, "You have killed the people of the Lord. (Numbers 16:41)

A discouraged person does not feel or experience the presence of God in their life, and as a result leans toward sin.
In addition, he is insensitive to the need of the people, to prayer, and to the Word of God. He listens, he knows her; but, he is unable to live according to it
